David has been working in the CEE region for more than 20 years and brings with him a long experience in the real estate transactional risk sector. Having spent 14 years of his career with a leading international title insurer and holding a key business development role across the region, he has worked on transactions in multiple jurisdictions and multiple sectors (Office, Retail, Industrial, Hotels and Renewable Energy). His involvement in assisting to insure some of the largest single asset and multi-asset cross-border transactions of the last decade give him an exceptional understanding of the real estate transaction market in CEE and SEE. He has built long term relationships with many leading investment funds, law firms, property developers and banks, all based on exceptional service, client understanding and problem solving.
Katarzyna worked as a lawyer for over six years within Real Estate transaction teams at leading Polish law firms (Dentons, Baker McKenzie), where she was managing landmark real estate transactions for reputable Clients including Macquarie MIRA, Hines, DEKA, CPI and Union Investments. She has a broad experience in negotiating transaction insurance policies, including title, W&I and tax and has a broad knowledge of the risks relating to real estate transactions on the Polish market. At REassurance, Katarzyna specializes in title and W&I insurance in CEE region, especially Poland, in real estate transactions. Katarzyna has a MA in Law and was admitted to the Warsaw Bar of Advocates.
Karol worked for five and a half years at Deloitte and PwC in M&A and International Tax departments where he has been responsible for complex tax due diligence, vendor tax due diligence processes and tax structuring for both domestic and international clients as well as private equity funds. He has broad experience in SPA and APA advisory. Prior to joining REassurance, Karol worked for tax insurance underwriting company based in the UK. At REassurance, Karol specializes in tax insurance in CEE region, especially Poland. He has graduated from the University of Warsaw (Faculty of Law and Administration) and Diploma Course in English and European Union Law organized by University of Cambridge.
Anna is a Senior Transaction Advisor and specializes in sourcing title, W&I and tax insurance in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for M&A and real estate transactions. Prior to her role at REassurance, Anna garnered six years of experience at a prominent local real estate law firm in Prague. In her capacity as a transactional lawyer, she provided pivotal support to a diverse clientele, encompassing Czech funds and international real estate investors, during acquisitions and disposal of office buildings, industrial parks, and retail centers. Beyond her involvement in real estate transactions, Anna collaborated closely with a global asset management firm, gaining comprehensive insights into the day‑to-day operations of their substantial real estate portfolio. Anna holds a MA in Law and is a member of the Czech Bar Association. A native Czech speaker, she is proficient in English and possesses a basic command of German language.
Otilia Petrescu is a Senior Transaction Advisor and specializes in sourcing title, W&I and tax insurance in Romania for M&A and real estate transactions. Prior to her role at REassurance, Otilia worked as a business lawyer on the Romanian market, garnering more than 20 years of business advisory practice with reputed local and international law firms. In her capacity as a transactional lawyer, she has worked on some of the most high-profile real estate transactions in Romania in recent years, and her practice spans the coordination of a vast number of acquisitions and disposals of real estate assets (office buildings, industrial parks, and retail centers). Beyond her involvement in real estate and project financing transactions, Otilia acted as General Counsel and Member of the Directors Committee of a Belgian investment fund and of a French top retailer, where she headed the legal departments and was extensively involved in the development activities of such. Otilia holds a MA in Law and is a member of the Romanian Bar Association. She successfully completed an executive business program with Stanford Business School, CA, in 2014. A native Romanian speaker, she is proficient in English and French.
Alicja is a Transactional Advisor and specialises in W&I, title and tax insurance for real estate and M&A transactions in Poland. Before joining REassurance, Alicja worked for four years in the real estate departments of two of the most renowned international law firms in Poland—Dentons and Greenberg Traurig—where she provided comprehensive legal advice on real estate acquisition and sale transactions, including asset and share deals. As a Real Estate Associate, in addition to transactional work, Alicja was also responsible for managing clients’ portfolios—such as logistics and shopping centres, office buildings and business parks—covering all legal and commercial aspects of day-to-day asset operation. Alicja qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2022, is proficient in English, and holds a DELE B2 Spanish certificate.
Rafal is a Transactional Advisor and specialises in W&I, title and tax insurance for real estate and M&A transactions in Poland. Before joining REassurance, Rafal spent three years working in the real estate department of one of Poland’s most prestigious international law firms—Greenberg Traurig. During this time, he provided comprehensive legal support for real estate acquisition and disposal transactions, handling both asset and share deals. In his role as a Real Estate Associate, Rafal’s responsibilities extended beyond transactional matters, as he also oversaw the management of clients’ property portfolios—including logistics hubs, shopping centres, office buildings, and business parks—covering the legal and commercial aspects of day-to-day asset operations to ensure smooth and efficient management. Rafal has been a member of the Warsaw Bar Association since 2024 and is proficient in English.
Stanisław is a Junior Transaction Advisor specialising in real estate transactions, with growing expertise in transactional risk solutions, including W&I, title, and tax insurance for real estate and M&A transactions in Poland. He brings over four years of professional experience gained at leading international and Polish law firms (Dentons, B2RLaw), with a strong background in real estate. Prior to joining REassurance, Stanisław was part of the real estate team at Dentons in the Warsaw office, where he was involved in real estate transactions, including both asset and share deals. His work included portfolio transactions and financing projects across Poland and the wider CEE region, covering logistics, office, and retail sectors, along with providing ongoing advisory support in asset management. He has been actively involved in all key stages of the transaction process – from legal due diligence and drafting of transaction documentation to project coordination. Stanisław has been an Advocate Trainee at the Warsaw Bar Association since 2024.
